Wonderful event of Gir area. The lioness gave space on way to honoring the bike rider farmer. Nearby Khodiyana village in Kundla tehsil of Amreli district, this incident was recorded by someone in their mobile camera in which a lioness and two cubs were going on the raw and narrow road of the village field. Suddenly a farmer riding a bike comes from the opposite direction and stops bike and looking at the big cats and two cubs. But then what happens is very amazing.
If you watch this video keenly, you will find that in such cases. instead of attacking the bike riding farmer the lioness changes her path herself. the lioness honors the farmer. The lioness calmly retreats into the vegetation at the boundary of the road, and gives way for the farmer to pass through which the farmer passes further. In this wonderful video, it is very surprising to see a lioness respecting the presence of human beings.

The Asiatic lion (Panthera leo leo) is a lion population in Gujarat, India, which is listed as Endangered on the IUCN Red List because of its small population size. Since 2010, the lion population in and around Gir Forest National Park has steadily increased. In May 2015, the 14th Asiatic Lion Census was conducted over an area of about 20,000 km (7,700 sq mi); the lion population was estimated at 523 individuals, comprising 109 adult males, 201 adult females and 213 cubs. And now lion population about 1000 above.
Habitat:
Asiatic lions were once distributed upto the state of West Bengal in east and Rewa in Madhya Pradesh, in central India. At present Gir National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary is the only abode of the Asiatic lion. The last surviving population of the Asiatic lions is a compact tract of dry deciduous forest and open grassy scrublands in southwestern part of Saurashtra region of Gujarat.
