Critical Success Factors, Lessons Learned and Achievements The provincial, value-based procurement of implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) and cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) devices was the first of its kind in Ontario. In this video:

• Greg Dadd, Principal, Procurement & Fairness Advisory Services at Optimus SBR, summarizes the critical success factors for this project.
• Lauren Bell, Senior Manager, Innovation & Strategic Partnerships at Plexxus, discusses lessons learned throughout the procurement process.

In this value-based procurement, Plexxus, a leader in Canadian health care supply chain services, collaborated with the Ontario Ministry of Health, CorHealth Ontario, and Ontario's 12 ICD Implanting Centres to design and deliver a value-based procurement process, one that ensured notable benefits for patients while helping solve health system challenges.
