How Adolescent Brain Science Supports Youth Engagement in Court Hearings and Case Planning This webinar highlights the critical importance of adolescent brain science as it relates to foster care. Leslie Leve, University of Oregon, and Sue Mangold, Juvenile Law Center, two members of the National Academies of Sciences (NAS) Committee that produced the “The Promise of Adolescence” will present findings that relate to the child welfare system. Attorneys from the American Bar Association Center on Children and the Law, Prudence Beidler Carr, Sneha Barve, and Kristin Kelly, will present materials and facilitate case scenarios based on the recently released Adolescent Brain Toolkit for Attorneys. This webinar was designed for all audiences, with a particular focus on how attorneys and judges can better understand how to apply adolescent brain science in child welfare cases.
