Welding Repair Stainless Steel Exhaust TIG 308L

Welding Repair Stainless Steel Exhaust TIG 308L Welding Repair Stainless Steel Exhaust TIG 308L. I purchased this 2003 Suzuki and discovered it had been wrecked. The previous owner cut off the damaged stock muffler and jammed an aftermarket muffer in it's place. The problem was that it needed a bend to keep the exhaust from sticking out. In this episode I TIG weld the aftermarket muffler directly to the stainless steel section that remained and I made it so that it hugged the bike having a factory look. Because the original stainless steel exhaust material was unknown, the local welding supply store suggested I use 308L welding wire. Normally you would use a back purge when welding stainless steel pipe but I am not setup for that so I took my time and welded short sections. The finished product looks much better than before.

This is NOT a How To video. The proper way would be to back purge.
