On this coral reef in Moorea, we observe a pair of beautiful ornate butterflyfishes feeding on the corals. The reef here is partly, or mostly alive, but has suffered coral bleaching and death in many areas. The butterflyfishes eat the live coral mucous, and we can see that they are very selective! They browse a live coral between two recently bleached corals, ignoring the dead ones. What will they eat if the bleaching gets worse?
