McDonald's workers: 'We don't feel safe'

McDonald's workers: 'We don't feel safe' (18 Dec 2019) McDonald's workers and supporters chanted and held signs outside a North side Chicago restaurant Wednesday, protesting what they say is a violence epidemic that makes their workplace dangerous.

The workers say McDonald's stores have a legal obligation to provide a safe workplace for their employees.

Holding "All I want for Christmas is safety, union rights and higher wages" signs and chanting "We want to work in peace, not rest in peace," several dozen peaceful protesters blocked a city sidewalk in front of the restaurant for about 30 minutes.
