What Creators Aren't Considering In Their Gripes About YouTube and COPPA #Coppa

Government sucks. When Social Media and government regulation mixes, the creators of the content will always get screwed. With the recent changes that Youtube has made regarding what is considered kid-friendly content, creators are letting you in on their thoughts. As to be expected there is a lot of drama surrounding this issue and channels that especially blur the lines, may be subject to banned pages and expensive fines. But also as expected, many creators have simply aimed their gripes at Youtube and have completely ignored the influence of the Federal government on this policy.

Youtube has basically agreed that they will allow the Feds to sweep their content and fine people who are not in compliance with their laws as much as 42 grand a video. In order to save their own tails, Youtube may also ban or demonetize your content in order to save their own tails. This means that creators are getting screwed by Youtube AND by the State.

The main takeaways I hope you get from this video:
1. Stop trusting the government to regulate. If massive companies like Google have to take a hit, best believe they will work with them to screw you over.
2. Stop putting your entire livelihood in one form of social media. Just as quick as they gave it to you, they can strip it away from you.
