There are definitely challenges when it comes to bringing your favorite comic book characters to the big screen, and finding the right star is definitely a big one! Today we’re going to look at some of the most controversial castinging choices that fans hated. . .at least at first. We know it’s hard to remember, but there was a time when Heath Ledger wasn’t the standard we hold all other Jokers against. People weren’t sure about Chris Evans becoming Captain America and neither was he! Some stars like Gal Gadot and Idris Elba were judged because of how they look, while others like Hugh Jackman and Chris Pratt were judged because of their past roles. Mark Ruffalo definitely had big shoes to fill when he got the part of Bruce Banner. And let’s not forget all the things fans hated about the Spider-Man franchises. Whether it’s Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, or Tom Holland people just have to put their two cents in. They’ve been doing that since they had to handwrite letters to complain about Michael Keaton being Batman! Luckily, they could just tweet about how much they hated the idea of Ben Affleck in the same role.
