This video is about setting "S.M.A.R.T." goals for yourself. Humans enjoy the journey more than the attainment of a goal. So, set realistic goals for yourself that you can achieve, and get something done!
SMART = Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-Bound
For example:
Your dream is to be an author or a best-selling writer.
That's great. But it's a dream only in that state. We must take it and make it an achievable, specific goal. So we say, instead, to take the first step towards this, "I want to publish a short story in a regional literary magazine in the next 6 months."
Here we have applied the SMART goal principles to a dream to make it achievable, time-bound, specific, measurable, and relevant.
We can do the same with other avenues of life. We don't just say, "I want to make a lot of money!" We set out specific goals. So, say, "I want to get a job as a social media specialist in Atlanta, GA making $75k/year as a salary and to do this I will send out five applications a day until I get a job."
