The U.S. and Denmark have patched up their relationship after the spat over President Donald Trump expressing a desire to buy Greenland. Trump and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen had ‘a constructive’ conversation by phone the day after the U.S. president called off his state visit to Copenhagen. The two countries are now stepping up cooperation to try to counter Chinese influence in Greenland, as climate change makes the semi-autonomous territory a strategic hot spot.
