Modern headlamps, especially those illuminated by LED, now at priced at four figure sums minimum, some going easily into five.

In the event of headlamp damage needing replacement, your choice is between footing the bill yourself, or claiming insurance but losing your NCD - not a straight forward decision when your NCD can save you easily RM2,000 - RM3,000 per year when insuring, say, a RM150k car.

You can get an added measure of protection with Llumar's PPF package that starts from RM1,300 to specifically cover your headlamps. The film has self-healing properties and is warrantied for up to five years.
