WATCH: Sen. Klobuchar says new evidence keeps coming out about Trump | Trump impeachment trial Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., said the truth about President Donald Trump's actions will come out sooner rather than later, adding that evidence is coming out "literally on the hour." Shortly before Friday's impeachment proceedings, a New York Times report provided more details about a book manuscript by former national security adviser John Bolton, who wrote that Trump instructed him to help apply pressure on Ukraine. Klobuchar said House managers are asking for four witnesses, including Bolton. "That will not be unfair to have four witnesses and have the people who are actually been in the room where in happened."

After days of arguments posed by the House managers and Trump’s legal team, followed by questions posed by senators, the lawmakers debate and vote on whether they wish to subpoena new witnesses and documents on Friday, Jan. 31. Then the Senate must decide whether to acquit the president or convict him of the charges and remove him from office. The House of Representatives impeached Trump in December on two articles -- abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.
