Traeger vs Weber SmokeFire Pellet grill (The winner is clear... for now)

Traeger vs Weber SmokeFire Pellet grill (The winner is clear... for now) In this video we will discuss the major differences between the weber smoke fire and the Traeger ironnwood pellet smokers. There are a few key differences that we discuss above. Weber actually does some different things which is nice that they are not trying to copy cat the competition. for example, they separated the auger away from the burn pot. this is very smart because it reduces the chance of any sort of of hopper fire in your smoker. They also made sear plates, so the grill can reach 600 degrees. The idea is they want you to be able to sear all your meat at high temperatures if desired. whereas the traeger only goes to 500 degrees. Here is my biggest problem with this, is once your above 500 degrees grease catches on fire very easy. So its difficult to manage. You have potential grease fires and that is not good! The Traeger on the other hand its near impossible for a grease fire. The Trade off is you can't sear though either. All in all I would have to rate the Traeger better then the weber because its more reliable. The wifi app works much better with traeger wifire, and its just been around longer and they seem to have everything worked out.
