In the scenario of #ClimateChange & contradictory energy, we need to have a “rapid and far-reaching” change in energy usage pattern according to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change ( #IPCCReport2018 ) and move towards 100% #RenewableEnergy by 2050. We need to take a U-turn and completely rethink the energy generation and the supply situation. “ #EnergySwaraj ” or declaring Independence from the Grid is the way forward towards Energy Sustainability and Mitigating Climate Change. Through it every individual and community generates its own energy, which can only be through #SolarTechnology. This is on the lines of Gandhiji’s “Gram Swaraj” which propagated self-reliance in production and consumption of things used in everyday life by every Indian village.
With the background in the Solar Technology, and the experiment that we have been doing in #IITBombay, through our SOULS initiative (Solar Urja for localisation through Sustainability), it is clear that the #SolarEnergy Technology can provide a localized solution.
