What do you see when you look at me? Do you see me as a Saluki in need of love, care and a home like any other rescue?
As a soul with feelings who will love you, get excited when you come home, enjoy daily walks with you, make you laugh with my funny character, cuddle up to you and give you kisses... and above all Love you with all my heart till my dying days?
Or do see my cropped ears and assume I will be, or do none of the above? Are you worried someone may look at you and think you did this? Remember... I have a story and you could be my voice as-well as my Hero.
It is not my fault I was born into a trade of racing and my breeder decided to crop my ears when I was only days old with a pair of scissors - just like our Mother Helwa. We are the same as any other dogs needing a loving home and family.
Please don’t discount me... look into my eyes and see my soul and know that I will love you forever.
Background: Helwa and her 10 puppies were rescued from an outdoor “kennel”. Helwa was a champion racer winning many many awards for racing. She was then retired very young and bred specifically so her babies could be champion racers too (the entire line of father and grandparents were all champions). We had to negotiate the families rescue to safety, which wasn’t easy and are now negotiating taking the others from the kennel.
7 of Helwas puppies have been homed to amazing families but Nahar, Dheeb and Zain, aswell as Helwa are waiting for their dream of a forever family to materialize. Please share. The sooner they find homes the quicker we can rescue the others. Thank you xx
