This is my presentation about adding group study rooms to Brighton High School. This is my School Improvement Project for English 2010. The conclusion that was reached throughout the course of this research project is as follows. Number one, clean out the extra teacher offices in between the classrooms. There are about 4 of them that are not used. This would be done by gathering volunteeres from community service club and or NHS to help move the leftover items, by using giant garbage bins, into the garbage or a storage container. Number 2, is furnishing the empty rooms with a table and chairs. Each group study room needs one table and atleast four chairs. These can be found around the school, at garage sales, or preferably on ksl classifieds. Many of them can be found for free on ksl. For example, I found a very nice wood table and 4 chairs on ksl for free. The only problem is it is in Toole, but to solve that problem I will volunteer to go pick it up. Number 3 is advertising and developing a way for people to sign up to use the rooms. To advertise, Bengal news and morning announcements can be used. As well as putting up posters in the hallways telling students that they are available. And for sign up sheets, Ms. Bates can be in charge of a physical sign up sheet laying out who uses what room at what time. Or an online room reservation can be created. In conclusion, implementing group study rooms in Brighton would be extremely beneficial for all the students. Thanks for watching!
