Govt support provided to all children regardless of their parents' marital status: Lawrence Wong

The Committee of Supply debate on Feb 28 covered a discussion on whether single, unwed parents should qualify for tax rebates. MP Louis Ng asked about this thrice during the session. Second Finance Minister Lawrence Wong said schemes and policies must be looked at as a whole, adding that benefits for all children are extended regardless of their parents' marital status.
