Bill is using 4 LiFePO4 battery modules. These total about 12-14 kwh of capacity, running 48v. This 48 volt battery is going into a Midnite Solar mini DC disconnect box which houses the circuit breakers. Then on to the inverter/charger. This inverter is from MPP Solar, model LV5048.
Yes, this system can power his well pump. Unfortunately, Bill found that he can't run two kitchen appliances at the same time. So now Bill can't keep the inverter in UPS mode. He keeps the system in standby, and the house running on Grid. Bill will have to manually switch to the off-grid system when there is a power outage.
