On our January 2020 sailing on the Carnival Breeze, we were introduced to two wonderful groups of musicians assembled from across the globe by Carnival. The Sea Sharps included a lead guitarist from Singapore, the keyboardist from Cuba, the drummer from Italy and the bass guitarist from Chicago, IL. A Surplus of Diggety was a 3 piece brass ensemble with a trombonist from North Dakota, a trumpeter and a saxophonist both from the Philippines.
Individually, these groups were very impressive. When they played together and added in the vocal skills of Samuel Thomas, Jr and Celeste Butler, the synergism of these performers rocked the ship.
