Burn fat and build muscle

Burn fat and build muscle Importance of healthy fats in building muscle.

First of all, 60% of our brain is made of Fat and that tells how important fat is, Of course, there are good fats and bad fat

Good fats are the building blocks for many important hormones and structures in our body. For Example, Omega-3 fatty acids are considered as healthy fat, as they are the building blocks of anti-inflammatory hormones.

Bad fats or trans fats are often used in packaged food such as chips and in deep-fried food in restaurants. Our body rejects it and takes a toll on processing or storing or flushing it out of the body. That's why we feel so sluggish after heavy oily food. One of the most know outcomes are clogging up the arteries resulting in heart disease.
Let's talk about how fats are important for muscle growth:

1. They help in the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins. - ADEK
These vitamins are very essential for the conversion of Amino acids to muscle tissue.. Especially the vitamin A. Consumption of these nutrients should be complemented with fats for the absorption.

2. Fat for energy: There are 2 types of sources for energy. One common source is through carbs converted to glucose. The other source is fat conversion to ketones and during that process, consumption of more fat eventually ends up burning more fat. Supplemented with intensity or resistance training during the process would result in muscle growth and retention.

3. Maintain overall wellness: consumption of fats results in the management of insulin spikes thus regulating insulin resistance which is the pathway to type 2 diabetes and multiple other factors that contribute to the wellness of our body.
So, Consume good fats like Ghee, Butter, Coconut oil, Olive oil (with low heat cooking), Fish, Nuts, etc…

4.when you cut down carbs, your body will burn fat for energy basically it will switch from using glucose to burning fat for energy and this way you burn fat and build muscle and your blood sugar level will remain stable unlike carbs which spike your blood sugar levels, fat will breakdown slowly without causing any spike in insulin.
