After a meeting Wednesday to gauge the possible impact of the Middle East tensions,... the BOK vowed to monitor the situation around the clock,... but added many analysts believe the conflict will not lead to an all-out war.
The central bank will closely cooperate and share information on market conditions with the government... and take measures to stabilize markets if necessary.
The benchmark KOSPI fell over 1-point-1 percent,... while the tech-heavy KOSDAQ shed almost 3-point-4 percent.
The Korean won closed at 1-thousand-1-hundred-70-point-8 won against the greenback,... down 4-point-4 won from the previous session's close.
