No matter what adversity was thrown at them, the Rangers never wavered, earning a convincing 5-1 win over the Ducks Sunday at Madison Square Garden to snap a three-game losing skid. The Rangers outlasted the increasing physicality of the game, which saw at least three fights result in dual penalties. They were challenged with three stretches of 4-on-4 play, including a 4-on-3 opportunity for the Ducks late in the second period, and dominated the short-handed possessions – even adding a short-handed goal to put the game out of reach in the third. Outshooting Anaheim 41-20, the Rangers dictated the pace of play from puck drop. Henrik Lundqvist, who was making his first start in over a week, stopped 19 of the 20 shots he faced.
