There’s this unspoken embarrassment... and so many women in my day to day come to me and find comfort and ease and to be honest: I WANT TO SAVE EVERYONE. I want to save every student that walks into my class that grows and walks even more into my life. I grow connections with them. I HAVE SURVIVED THE BATTLE. I know what it’s liked to be trapped. To feel like there’s no out. To feel like NO ONE WILL BELIEVE YOU. To even feel like no one would even care. I’ve beat around the bush before but God has been placing too much struggle in front of me and allowed me to survive TOO much to ignore it. My space: is a safe space. Is a SAVING SPACE. This is more than dance. This is feeling escape in a dance room and then finding the courage to bring it with you to your day to day. If you’re going through any type of abuse, I first and foremost want to say you don’t deserve it and also THAT I HAVE YOUR WAY OUT. If you allow yourself to find it.
