In the last one week there has been strong opposition to the CAB and NRC across the country. I explain the events as they unfolded till the 17th December. I also explain how the Nationwide NRC will work and what will be its consequences. I do that based on the NRC in Assam which has already taken place. The govt has engaged in so m any internet shutdowns that India has become the internet shutdown capital of the world.
