Ford's electric vehicle offerings to date have been a little laughable. They've lacked decent performance, range, and appeal.
And a not so long ago, Ford realized this, turning a car that was destined to be a compliance car -- a
vehicle designed to be sold in limited volumes in select markets in order to meet emissions regulations -- into a car it thought people would want to buy .
It resulted in Ford taking one of the biggest gambles of its history -- associating its Mustang name with an all-electric SUV.
But with the kind of performance that isn't far off that of the promised performance of the upcoming Tesla Model Y, not to mention decent range and charging, it looks like Ford's gamble is about to pay off in the form of the Ford Mustang Mach E.
Ford invited us to Germany to get underneath the skin of the Ford Mustang Mach E -- and then to Los Angeles to see the big reveal for ourselves.
