Sorting out a baby flying-fox brought into care: this is Seven of Nine

Sorting out a baby flying-fox brought into care: this is Seven of Nine Seven of Nine is a baby flying-fox who was found on concrete on the ground. He's a Grey-Headed Flying-Fox, possibly an orphan.
He's around 4.5 weeks old.
He was brought to me by a new rescuer who was unable to assess or care for him. He has some bruising and what looks like some fractures in his hand/finger (metacarpo-phalangeal) joints.
I had him xrayed, but with babies this age, their joints are mostly cartilage and haven't turned into bone so the X-rays were inconclusive.
This means he'll be given time to see how it works out - and to see if he can fly. He was also given analgesia to deal with his pain.
I really don't know how he will go so don't ask. He's iffy.

His name was because he was from Seven Hills and he was one of 7 at the time he arrived. If I hadn't moved along 2 babies an hour before, he would have been one of 9. And yes - I am/was a Star Trek TNG fan.
