The Pacific Island nation of Samoa has declared a state of emergency over a measles outbreak, closing all schools and banning public gatherings. Six people have died and 700 cases have been reported on Samoa where only 66 percent of the population has been vaccinated against the disease.
That mirrors a worldwide trend as measles cases double from 2017 to 2018.
Al Jazeera's Victoria Gatenby reports.
