An appeals court voted to block the execution of Rodney Reed, whose case has earned national attention. Just hours earlier, the Texas parole board had voted unanimously to recommend Governor Greg Abbott delay the execution. Reed was convicted in the 1996 murder of 19-year-old Stacey Stites.
