Basically, the parliament has various committees on finance, on national security etc these committees, scrutinize the govt policies in that specific sector. To be in such a committee is itself prestigious for an MP. Today the parliamentary consultative committee on defence was announced. There are 21 members in it and guess who will be a part of that? Pragya thakur. The controversial pragya singh thakur has been nominated as one of the members on the 21 member committee. The committee is headed by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. There are many other members on the list like NCP chief Sharad Pawar, J&K former CM Farooq Abdullah, KJ alphons, etc.
Now, what I wonder is why Pragya Singh Thakur has been included in the parliamentary committee of defence. What significant has she achieved or what expertise does she posses in the field of defence to reward her with something so significant?
