Before you begin: Remove the display panel assembly.

Removal -
IMPORTANT: Make careful note of the routing of the display panel cable for later replacement.
1. Using minimal force, lift the locking bar up on the touchscreen ZIF connector and disconnect the display panel cable from the touchscreen board.
2. Carefully remove the display panel cable from the adhesive and retention tape that secure it to the display panel assembly.
3. Remove the shielding that covers the display panel cable connector on the display panel.
4. Peel back the retention tape, lift the locking bar and disconnect the display panel cable from the display panel.
5. Remove the display panel cable.

Replacement -
1. Insert the display panel cable into the display panel connector on the display panel, press the locking bar down, and replace the retention tape that secures it to the display panel.
2. Replace the shielding the covers the display panel cable connector on the display panel.
3. Insert the touchscreen cable into the touchscreen ZIF connector on the touchscreen board and press the locking bar down to lock the cable into place.
4. Replace the retention tape and apply pressure to the length of the display panel cable to adhere it into position on the display panel assembly.
