RHow to Be a Fashionable Eco Girl. You can use your eco morals and style in your everyday life. You might also manage to start some trends!
Steps.
Think about your clothing. Victoria's Secret, Nordstrom, and other popular clothing stores carry an organic line. A lot of times they are made with organic fibers. Pick up some with a cute saying. Mandee's has one that says "Don't be trashy, recycle". It's cute, stylish, and environmentally friendly. There's a bunch of tote bags and scarves that are like this.
Wear the shirts that you get for volunteering for things like Green Peace, Habitat for Humanity and other eco volunteer projects. This will show that you are not only in style, but that you really do care about the environment and act on it.
Bring a glass or plastic bottle to reuse at school and everywhere else you may go. Decorate it with stickers and rhinestones. You will start a trend and not waste plastic.
Eat delicious, organic foods that were grown locally without pesticides. People will wonder where you got such good food. Offer your friends a bite and be hooked.
Use what you already have in your closet. You can make a lot for unique, original clothing. This way you're not wasting clothes, and you're get the original look.
Make recycling look easy and simple by casually dropping your plastic into the school's recycling bin.
Use organic hair products. They will not only make your hair look great but it will also be helping the environment. Mention the "new shampoo" that makes your hair "shiny and great". Tell them the name and that it is also organic. Some good brands are Organix and Miessence.
Use non animal tested, mineral makeup. Using them is good for your skin and the Earth.
Try to use recycled paper as much as possible. You can find recycled notebooks, stationery and even art supplies like pencils made out of old newspaper.
Tips.
Make a lot of this look very casual. It will help people notice, subtly.
Eco people are not hippies, weird, or anything else. Stick up for yourself if you are called this.
Use clay beads to make pretty necklaces.
Use a lot of natural things. Make your own adornments.
Stick to a lot of this stuff.
Being an Eco Girl can be very fun.
