Rain, rain and more rain over the weekend had the rivers in the midlands bursting their banks and causing chaos on the roads. My initial plan had been to fish on Saturday evening but that had been scuppered by the monsoon-like weather which had turned my local rivers into brown torrents.
Undeterred an alternative plan was hatched. I would attempt to find some fishable stretches of the river on Sunday afternoon.
After much searching on several rivers I managed to locate one such place.
But could I catch any fish...?
