November is usually the month of Annual functions of Schools. At the same time this is the month when our weather is worst in the form of pollution and childhood illnesses. Every year in this month of November and December we are seeing cases for Allergies, Asthma, Influenza, Swine flu, Dengue fever, Malaria and Typhoid fever. Most of the children are absent in school because of these illnesses. At the same time the schools are arranging their annual functions where children have to do practice in open ground every day for three to four hours. This further exposes these children to infection , pollution and allergies. It's therefore my appeal to all schools and it's authorities that they should plan their annual function either in September and October or in late January after the winter break.
