Politics aside, we sincerely hope they (Boeing) manage to get this kite back (safely) in the air. The sooner the better for the airlines, most who are haemorrhaging money to lease replacement aircraft, not to forget the huge ongoing costs to Boeing, which will probably stay with them for the next decade! And most importantly, we must remember those people who lost loved ones. No financial figure can replace a loved one, but I trust Boeing (and other government bodies) will step-up to the plate and compensate, with respect, those families for their terrible losses.
But for us, we need to concentrate on the aircraft itself. She’s a good looking Jet and could, if Boeing ‘do it right’, still re-emerge as a highly successful platform in the Single Aisle market.
Here’s my ‘tribute edit’ of the MAX jets we saw on Big Jet TV, right through to March 11, just a few of days before the FAA announced global groundings.
