These subjects will help research students during the research degree. Research design and methodology will help students how to make a research plan and how to make a research strategy. Thinks like what method to use for research and what type of data will be collected and how the data will be collected. There are various possible methods for research such as experimentation, surveys, interviews, case studies etc. Then it is also important to design questions in a purposeful manner to get answers. The statistics will help students to get answers from the data they have collected. This subject offers some powerful tools such as normal distribution, variance analysis, hypothesis tests, parametric tests etc. Linear Algebra becomes important when at some stage of your research you need to handle matrices and vectors. There are some powerful techniques in linear algebra such as Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) and Principal Component Analysis (PCA). These techniques can help you to reduce the complexity and noise from data by reducing its dimensions.
