Legal Advocacy: Advancing Protections for Older Workers in the Workplace

On Tuesday October 8, 2019, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments about whether the Civil Rights Act protects Americans from employment discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity.

AARP Foundation attorneys filed a brief with the court, urging the justices to affirm that the law protects all Americans from discrimination, including discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity.
