Mizzou enters its 10th season with Robin Pingeton leading the Women’s Basketball team. And we’ve been with her every step of the way at the Tiger Club of Kansas City, including her Tuesday, Sept. 21 appearance at the Westport Flea Market Bar and Grill. Last year, Coach Pingeton earned her 150th win at Mizzou and 500th career victory. Her team advanced to the SEC Tournament semifinals and reached its fourth consecutive NCAA tournament. The Tigers featured Mizzou’s all-time leading scorer, Sophie Cunningham, who was named to the NCAA’s All-America Third Team and to the All-SEC First Team. She is now playing professionally for the Phoenix Mercury in the WNBA and the Melbourne Boomers in Australia.
The 2019-20 Tigers will feature a blend of seniors – including Hannah Schuchts, Jordan Roundtree, Jordan Chavis and Amber Smith – and highly regarded newcomers like Aijha Blackwell and Hayley Frank. The exhibition season begins Thursday, October 24 against Truman State at Mizzou Arena.
