When they had to make difficult decisions in their past, Jackie and Bobby found that taking action helped them discern God’s will more than anything else. We don’t have to actually make the decision in order to find out if it was a good one, but we can take steps toward it. (A good example of this would be visiting a seminary if you feel called to the priesthood.) Action brings clarity, and prevents us from getting stuck in analysis paralysis.
Usually when we are making a tough decision—such as choosing a college, starting or ending a relationship, or choosing a job or vocation—there are a handful of good decisions we could make. If you feel that the morality and wisdom in the choices in question are equal, the deciding factors should be what gives you the most peace and joy, because that is what God wants for us
