Ambassador Gharib Abadi made the remarks on the sidelines of the IAEA's board of governors meeting in Vienna when asked repeatedly by reporters about the amount of uranium Iran was planning to enrich.
The announcement came after Iran further eroded the nuclear deal of 2015 by removing all restrictions on research and development.
US President Donald Trump last year pulled the US out of the landmark agreement which lifted sanctions on Iran in exchange for caps on its nuclear programme.
Abadi also warned Tehran would take "appropriate actions" if the US and its allies would try to "divert the constructive and proactive cooperation between Iran and the IAEA".
The diplomat did not elaborate on who Iran would back in the upcoming election of the next IAEA director general but demanded "impartiality, independence and professionality" from any candidate.
