Why is a lightweight kids bike better for parents?
Parents want their kids to be confident and safe. Unfortunately, most kids bikes that are made today are on average about 30 pounds. And that 30-pound bike is typically for a child who weighs about 40 pounds, so when you have a bike that's 75% of your own body weight, that creates a really challenging experience for a child.
So they have to manage that weight, it's harder to get started, so it's harder to learn how to ride. Once you start riding, it's harder to control that bike, and there's safety implications for that. And by getting a lightweight kids bike, if you can even take 10 pounds out of that average weight, and let's say you have a 20-pound bike instead of a 30-pound bike, that's 25% of that kid's body weight.
So it makes a really, really significant difference, and you see it as they're learning, they're gonna learn to ride easier, they're gonna enjoy the experience of riding a bike a lot more, and they're gonna be a lot safer.
