Wash For Wishes: Event helps raise money for Make-A-Wish Foundation

Wash For Wishes: Event helps raise money for Make-A-Wish Foundation CINCINNATI (WKRC) - More than 100 volunteers washed cars to make wishes come true Saturday.

The Hillman Group teamed up with the Cincinnati Bengals in the "Wash for Wishes." It's a fundraiser for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Organizers say people started lining up two hours before the event even started. The goal is to raise enough money to fund three wishes for children with critical illnesses.

"What we really like about Make-A-Wish and this specific event is that it's more than just a financial donation, it's a team-building event too. We can all come together, put a little elbow grease working together and it just makes everybody feel good and we know that we're helping a great cause," said Dan Smercina of the Hillman Group.

Several Bengals players were at the event including Tyler Eifert, Alex Erickson and Andrew Billings. The first 50 people were given a pair of Bengals tickets to the Oct. 6 game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Organizers hope to grant the wishes for the kids at the game.
