Thanks for joining me on another top 5 why you should play. Today we are looking at the Priest, the big healer, the classic rgp character with the most versatile healing abilities in the game
Let jump in with number 1
Mind Control
I have to start off with mind control because it is the most fun part of playing a priest. Using this out side of blackrock depths is one of the highlights of any raiding night as you watch the stragglers that were late to their raid
try to make it across the bridge with lava either side of them and pop they lose control of their character and are now jumping into the molten goodness whilst you are laughing behind your keyboard.
The joy you will feel is the one and only reason you should play a priest but alas this is a top 5 so we shall continue!
Everybody loves Healers
A good healer is everyones best friend whether they are in PVP, PVE or in the open world grinding out mobs. In vanilla you would receive multiple invites from party's trying to locate a priest healer for there dungeon, whether this translates across into classic
we just don't know yet but i'm sure if you are good healer you will be remembered and requested for.
Shadow
Shadow wasn't very viable in raiding until TBC you may see one in a raid every now and again to buff warlocks with shadow weaving however they were monsters in PVP with relatively good damage but their main strength is that they were
difficult to kill thanks to power word shield inner fire and shadowform
Whilst group PVP wasn't your strong suit you were the champ at 1v1 dueling
Unique Racial skills
The king of priests was the dwarf as they had the unique skill fear ward, this skill protected the tanks from being feared in raids and lined up really nicely with the 30 second cool down it had, other racials included Devouring plague
on the undead which is a DOT which heals the caster for the damage, Elune's Grace which gave night elves an increase of 10% dodge and reduced damage taken and Feedback the human trait the inflicted manaburn.
Each was very unique and offered something for different scenarios
Healing Tool Kit
Heal, Flash Heal, Greater Heal, Renew, Power word Shield, prayer of healing and fade to reduce your threat, cure disease, dispel magic, power infusion and a load of buffs priests have an ability for every situation,
if you want heal but don't fancy spamming one button for the entire end game then I would suggest picking the priest and never looking back
