Korea's Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Sung Yoon-mo said Seoul will pool all capacity and resources of its public and private sectors to minimize the negative impact to the local economy...if Japan does remove Korea from its trade whitelist.
Sung made the remark while visiting a local chip and display equipment maker in Pyeongtaek city on Tuesday.
The minister said Seoul has been thoroughly reviewing parts and materials that can be heavily affected by Tokyo's additional export restrictions.
He then added that the Korean government has prepared countermeasures for all possible scenarios, stressing that Seoul will strongly cope with Tokyo's curbs...in order to minimize their impact on the local economy.
