
The agency’s director in charge of governance and coordination Thomas Mumo says that after coming up with a national strategy to deliver on the ambition, all efforts have been channeled to its implementation.
Speaking at Kuraiha primary school in Juja where the agency in partnership with Hearts of Green, a conservationist’s organization launched a tree planting marathon that saw 42,000 trees planted in 42 different Juja schools today, Mumo said that the agency has so far planted 226,000 seedlings across the country and hopes to upscale to 10 million seedlings by the year 2022.
